Abstract
An edge device includes an antenna array having a first portion and one or more second portions different from the first portion. The edge device further includes control circuitry that controls the first portion of the antenna array to sense a surrounding area of the edge device, detect a first user equipment (UE) in the surrounding area of the edge device, and track the detected first UE in the surrounding area of the edge device. The control circuitry further controls the one or more second portions of the antenna array to direct a first beam of radio frequency (RF) signal in a first direction of the tracked first UE.
