A banknote storage handling deviceincludes a lid unit opening/closing mechanismthat moves a lid unitto an open position by moving to a spaced position in a state where the lid bodyis latched, a loading tablethat is configured to receive and load paper sheet bundles Bs moved outward from a lateral opening by a paper sheet bundle moving member in accordance with movement of the lid unit to the open position when at a lifted standby position, and to be capable of being lowered from the standby position to a lowered position in a state where the paper sheet bundles are loaded thereon, and a loading table movement mechanismthat moves the loading table located at the lowered position to a predetermined paper sheet bundle discharge position.
