Abstract
An electronic device includes an authentication unit and a control unit. The authentication unit performs an authentication communication with an external device for determining whether or not the external device is a predetermined device. The control unit requests a second power that is greater than a first power from the external device, in a case where the external device is determined to be the predetermined device and the external device is determined to be a no-additional-cable-required type of power supply device.
