Abstract

Disclosed is a method for calibrating a sensor to be calibrated by means of a reference sensor, the sensor to be calibrated being configured to determine a chemical signal based on a conversion function for converting an electrical signal, the reference sensor being configured to determine a reference signal, the method having: ⋅ measuring, during a reference time period, a first chemical signal (SP) and a first reference signal (SP) and, during a test period, a second chemical signal (SP) and a second reference signal (SP), ⋅ determining regression functions (gP, gP) defined as follows: SP=gP(SP) and SP=gP(SP), ⋅ calculating a difference between the regression functions (gP, gP) and ⋅ when the difference is greater than a reference difference, determining an optimized conversion function.
