Abstract
An apparatus for making containers () comprising a rotor () rotatably mounted on a supporting structure (), a thermoforming device () comprising a supporting unit () mounted on the rotor () and a closing unit () which is stationary relative to the rotation of the rotor (), a feeding device () for feeding to the supporting unit () a first article () for making a supporting skeleton (), a positioning device () for positioning a sheet of thermoformable material () between the supporting unit () and the closing unit (), and an extracting device () configured to extract the containers () from the supporting unit (), the rotor () rotating in a stepping fashion to position the supporting unit () one after another in a loading predetermined angular position in which the feeding device () feeds a first article () to it, a thermoforming predetermined angular position in which the closing unit () and the supporting unit () are coupled for thermoforming the sheet of thermoformable material () on the first article (), and an unloading predetermined angular position in which the extracting device () picks up the finished container () from the supporting unit ().
