Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes circuitry and a memory storing computer-executable instructions. Upon receiving a login request with identification information, the apparatus searches a storage for corresponding user information. When multiple pieces of user information are retrieved, the apparatus selects one piece of user information among multiple pieces retrieved by the search, as the user information for which login is to be allowed. The user information includes the identification information and a date and time when the identification information was stored in the storage, and the selecting is based on the date and time.
