Abstract
A storage device configured to be connected to a redundant array of inexpensive disk (RAID) controller includes a plurality of non-volatile memories. A memory controller is configured to control the plurality of non-volatile memories to store data distributed by the RAID controller based on a RAID configuration signal received from the RAID controller. The memory controller is configured to perform self-diagnosis on the plurality of non-volatile memories to determine whether at least one of the plurality of non-volatile memories has an uncorrectable error when a RAID configuration signal is deactivated.
