Abstract

A wind turbine generator () includes a tower (), a nacelle () rotatably mounted to the tower (), the nacelle having a longitudinal axis and being configured to align the longitudinal axis with the direction of the incoming wind during operation of the wind turbine generator (), one or more heat-generating components () housed in the wind turbine generator (), and a containerized HVAC module () mounted on a roof () of the nacelle () and operably connected to the one or more heat-generating h components () for cooling the heat-generating components (). The module () includes a shipping container () having a floor (), a roof (), a pair opposed longer side walls (), a pair of opposed shorter end walls (), and a longitudinal axis, the longitudinal axis of the shipping container () being oriented generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the nacelle (), the shipping container () having at least one heat exchanger () therein.
