Abstract

The disclosure relates to a 5Generation (5G) or 6Generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, by the UE, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), wherein the received PDCCH includes downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling one or more physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs), receiving, by the UE, one or more PDSCHs according to the received DCI, determining and transmitting, by the UE, a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) codebook for one or more PDSCHs according to the received PDSCHs and PDCCH.
