Abstract

The present invention provides an inter-system measurement information transmission method and system. The method comprises: if there is no interface between a first base station and a second base station, the first base station determines a corresponding core network and a corresponding interface; if the corresponding core network is a first core network corresponding to the first base station, the first base station sends first measurement configuration information to a control plane entity of the first core network; the control plane entity of the first core network sends the first measurement configuration information to a control plane entity of a second core network; the control plane entity of the second core network sends the first measurement configuration information to the second base station; and the second base station determines inter-system measurement configuration information of a terminal within the coverage of the second base station for the first base station.
