Abstract
Described are pharmaceutical compositions comprising recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and optionally follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), wherein the recombinant hCG in the composition comprises α2,3- and α2,6-sialylation and comprises mono-(1S), di-(2S), tri-(3S) and tetra-(4S) sialylated glycan structures. The recombinant hCG may be obtained by expression in a human cell line, such as the PER.C6 cell line, optionally wherein the cell line is modified using α2,3-sialyltransferase.
