Abstract

This disclosure provides a method of operating a wireless extender in a wireless frequency band, a corresponding wireless extender and a computer program product. The wireless extender can include a first radio and a second radio. The method can include: controlling a first station (STA) interface of the first radio and a second STA interface of the second radio to connect to a router in response to determining that a connection state of the first STA interface and a connection state of the second STA interface are both disconnected; controlling the second STA interface to stop connecting to the router in response to determining that the first STA interface has connected to the router; and disabling a first access point (AP) interface of the first radio and enabling a second AP interface of the second radio.
