Abstract
The present invention refers to a security setting method for a camera system of a vehicle comprising the steps of creating a camera system with at least a first camera module with a first identification number, a second camera module with a second identification number and an electronic control unit (ECU); creating at least one first camera module Hash value (H) for the first identification number, at least one second camera module Hash value (H) based on the second identification number and/or at least one camera pod assembly Hash value based on the first and second identification numbers; and storing the at least one of the Hash values. It also refers to a camera pod assembly comprising at least two camera modules to be attached to a vehicle via a mounting and being adapted for usage of such a security setting method; a camera system comprising at least one such camera pod assembly; and a vehicle comprising such a camera system.
