Abstract

The invention relates to an adapter () for connecting a header () of a heat exchanger (i) having a header cross section () to a manifold () having a manifold cross section () which has a different shape from the shape of the header cross section (). An adapter () connects the header cross section () to the manifold cross section (). The adapter () can be in one piece with a first end plate () of the heat exchanger (i) or it can be an independent part. Application to plate heat exchangers.
