Abstract

The invention provides a composition comprising oil obtained fromseeds and one or more surface-active agents. Preferably, the concentration of thymoquinone in the composition is at least 2% (w/w), wherein the concentration of the surface-active agent(s) is at least 0.2% (w/w), and wherein the one or more surface-active agents are selected from the group consisting of D-α-Tocopherol polyethylene glycol succinate (TPGS), lecithin and isolecithin. The invention also provides a method for preventing and/or treating pathological states and disorders associated with obesity, comprising the steps of administering a composition of the invention to a human subject.
