Abstract
The present invention relates to compounds of general formula (I), wherein —X is selected from a group consisting of H; Cto C, alkyl; halogen (F, Cl, Br or I); Y is selected from a group consisting of nitrogen; N-oxide; Z, Z, Z, wherein m is 1 or 2, are independently selected from the group consisting of —CH—CH— and —CH—CH—CH; A, A, wherein m is 1 or 2, are independently selected from H; —CHCOOH; —CHC(O)NH; —CHP(O)(OH), and n is 1 or 2; R, R, Rare independently H; Cto C, alkyl; Cto Calkyloxy; Cto Caryloxy; benzyloxy; Cto Calkylthio; C, to Carylthio; F; Cl; Br; I; OH; SH; NH; Cto C, alkylamino; di(Cto C, alkyl)amino; Cto Cacylamino; di(Cto Cacyl) amino; Cto Carylamino; di(Cto Caryl)amino; CN; OH; nitro; COOR, C(O)NHR, C(O)N(R), wherein Ris independently H or Cto Calkyl or C, to Caryl; and/or neighboring two of R, R, Rtogether with neighboring two carbon atoms of the aromatic cycle form a six-membered ring, optionally substituted with one or more substituents independently selected from the group consisting of OH, SH, CF, F, Cl, Br, I, Cto C, alkyl, Cto C, alkyloxy, Cto Calkylthio, NH, Cto Calkylamino, di(Cto Calkyl)amino, NO, COOH, COOR, C(O)NHR, C(O)N(R), wherein Ris WO 2020/244686 A1 independently H or Cto Calkyl or Cto Caryl; with the proviso that when n is 2 and all of Z, Z, Zare —CH—CH, then A is not —CHCOOH; for chromatographic separation of rare earth elements and/or s-, p- and d-block metals, as well as to the method of the separation of rare earth elements.
