Abstract
A sealing element () includes a sealing lip (), an outer shell () defining an outer perimeter of the sealing element (), and an energizing porous matrix structure () that is formed integrally with the sealing lip () or the outer shell () and extends from the outer shell () to the sealing lip (). The energizing porous matrix structure () is used to tune a sealing force of the sealing element ().
