An interface display method is provided. The method includes: An electronic device displays an interface of a first application in a first display area of a display (). The electronic device receives a first operation when the electronic device displays the interface of the first application (). In response to the first operation, the electronic device displays a multi-task interface in the first display area (), where the multi-task interface includes an application window of a currently running application. The electronic device receives a second operation performed on an application window of a second application in the application windows of the currently running applications ().
