Abstract

Disclosed herein is a medical system () comprising a memory () storing machine executable instructions () and a Bfield estimation module (); and a computational system (). Execution of the machine executable instructions causes the computational system to receive () an initial magnetic resonance image () that comprises a magnitude component and is descriptive of a first region () of interest of a subject (). Execution of the machine executable instructions further causes the computational system to perform at least one iteration of the following: receive () subsequent k-space data () descriptive of subsequent region of interest () of the subject; calculate () an estimated Bfield mapping () for the subsequent region of interest from the initial magnetic resonance image by inputting the initial magnetic resonance image into the Bfield estimation module; and reconstruct () a corrected magnetic resonance image () from the subsequent k-space data and the estimated Bfield mapping.
