An ion analyzerincludes: an ionization chamber; an ionization unitconfigured to generate ions from a samplein the ionization chamber; an analysis chamberseparated from the ionization chamberby a partition wallin which an openingis formed; an ion transport unit, andprovided in the analysis chamberand configured to transport the ions generated in the ionization unit; an ion trapping unitprovided in the analysis chamberand configured to trap the ions transported by the ion transport unit, and; an ion detection unitprovided in the analysis chamberand configured to detect the ions released from the ion trapping unit; and a single evacuation mechanismconnected only to the analysis chamberand configured to evacuate the analysis chamberto a pressure of 10Pa or less.
