Abstract

The invention relates to an improved locking device for the closure of doors on cabinets, of boxes or compartments, which offers high resistance to unauthorized attack and, in particular, can take up high torques. For this purpose, use is made of a coupling arrangement having a manually or electronically movable actuating member, a driver (), which interacts with the actuating member, and a blocking member (). The blocking member () has the form of a cylinder, the cylinder axis of which runs parallel to the rotor axis (). The blocking member () in its blocking position engages in a depression () on the outer side of the rotor () or in a depression () on the inner side of the wall () of the stator () and is held in this blocking position by spring force.
