Abstract

The invention relates to a power cable which comprises a central filler region () containing at least one conductor element (), and additionally comprises at least one strip () arranged in said central filler region () in the vicinity of the conductor element (). The cable is equipped with a winding-free energy recovery system () which supplies the strip () with electric current from the energy available in the conductor (). The strip () has a plurality of elements which generate light from this electric current.
