Abstract

Exhaust gas recirculation pump () for an internal combustion engine that includes an electric motor () disposed within a housing (). A Roots device () is coupled to the electric motor () and includes a housing () defining an internal volume () in which rotors () are disposed and are connected to the electric motor (). The electric motor housing () includes a coolant path () formed therein which extends from a coolant inlet () to a coolant outlet (), both coupled to an engine coolant circulation system. The housing includes an oil path () formed therein. The oil path includes an oil inlet () extending to at least one oil outlet (). The oil inlet and outlet are coupled to an engine oil circulation system wherein the oil path () lubricates bearings () and a transmission assembly () of the exhaust gas recirculation pump ().
