Abstract
The invention relates to an apparatusfor 3D shaping of a workpieceby material ablation with a laser beam. The apparatuscomprises a machining unit, which is configured to provide a pressurized fluid jetonto the workpieceand to couple the laser beaminto the fluid jettowards the workpiece. Further, the apparatusincludes a motion controllerconfigured to set an x-y-z-position of the workpiecerelative to the machining unit. It also includes a measuring unitconfigured to measure a z-position of the point of incidenceof the pressurized fluid jeton the workpiecein the z-direction.
