Abstract

Methods and systems are provided for improving provider and consumer control of content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata. The information regarding the content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata is structured into formats suitable for determining past, present, and future user interest in content, likelihood to consume the content, and relatedness of content items. The determinations are used to generate recommendations. Content providers are provided with options to customize conditions of the determinations, the recommendations, and offers based on the same to be provided to consumers. Users are provided with the recommendations and are presented with options to change channel line-ups and subscriptions, including automatic changes based on selected parameters.
