A protection circuitis provided with: switchespositioned on a power line PL of an electricity storage elementand a load; first protection elementsconnected in parallel with the switchesand absorbing surge caused when the switchesopen and cut off discharge current; and a second protection elementconnected in parallel with the load and flowing, back to the load, the surge caused when the switchesopen and cut off the discharge current.
