Abstract
The invention relations to a dressing () for treating wounds in damp or wet situations, comprising: a) a suction/rinsing body () which is supplied by the manufacturer with a saline aqueous solution, particularly a Ringer's solution, said solution preferably containing a substance exhibiting an antimicrobial effect, b) a planar carrier material () which is arranged on the side of the suction/rinsing body () that faces away from the wound and which projects over said suction/rinsing body () such that an edge extending around all sides of the suction/rinsing body () is formed, said edge being provided, with a layer of a skin-compatible silicone adhesive () on the side facing the wound, and c) a first protective layer () that covers the layer of a skin-compatible silicone adhesive () on the side facing the wound, characterized in that the wound dressing () comprises a second protective layer () arranged on the side of the carrier material () facing away from the wound, wherein both the first and the second protective layers () fully project beyond the carrier material (), wherein the first protective layer () forms an opening that leaves the suction/rinsing body () uncovered, and wherein the first and second protective layers () protect the layer of a skin-compatible silicone adhesive () from contact with liquid and steam.
