Abstract

A medical device () for dilating an endovascular lumen and having a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, the medical device comprising a stem () extending along a longitudinal axis of the device; a first plate () disposed partly around the stem (); a second plate () disposed partly around the stem () angularly separated in a circumferential direction from the first plate (); and an expansion mechanism () configured to move each of the first plate () and/or the second plate () radially outwardly when the medical device () is expanded from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration.
