Abstract
Provided is a surgical stapler (), said surgical stapler () comprising an end effector (), a closure mechanism (), a first drive mechanism (), and a cutting apparatus. The end effector () comprises a staple compartment assembly () and a staple anvil (); surgical staples are provided in the staple compartment assembly (); the closure mechanism () is configured to drive the staple compartment assembly () and the staple anvil () into joining so as to hold a target tissue; a staple pushing assembly is configured to suture the target tissue by pushing the surgical staple from the staple compartment assembly () into the target tissue; the first drive mechanism () is configured such that: during the closure phase, the first drive mechanism () is removably connected to the closure mechanism () so as to drive the closure mechanism () to close the end effector (); in the staple pushing phase after the closure phase, the first drive mechanism () separates from the closure mechanism () and drives the staple pushing assembly to push the surgical staple out of the staple compartment assembly (); the cutting apparatus is configured to cut the target tissue during the cutting phase after the target tissue as a whole has been sutured under the drive of the first drive mechanism ().
