Abstract
The present invention provides a mechanism for a receiver to determine a quality of orthogonality of received polarized signals by monitoring polarized reference signals RSwhich either change polarization with time or are aligned with polarized data signals. Depending on the quality, multiplexing may change between polarization division multiplexing and spatial division multiplexing.
