Abstract
The invention relates primarily to a rotating electrical machine for a motor vehicle including: —a rotor, and—a stator () including a winding () having a plurality of phases, each phase comprising a plurality of groups of coils (G-G), characterized in that said stator () is configured such that currents in the groups of coils (G-G) are able to flow selectively: —in one and the same direction so as to maximize a number of poles of the rotating electrical machine, or—in opposite directions so as to minimize a number of poles of the rotating electrical machine.
