Abstract

Proposed is a motor drive apparatus driving first and second motors having first wirings and second wirings, respectively, including a first inverter including first switching elements, an alternating-current terminal of the first inverter being connected to a first terminal of each of the first wirings, a second inverter including second switching elements, a first change-over switch including third switching elements, first-side terminals thereof being connected to second terminals of the first wirings, respectively, and second-side terminals being connected, a second change-over switch including fourth switching elements, first-side terminals thereof being connected to the second terminals, respectively, and second-side terminals being connected to an alternating-current terminal of the second inverter, a third change-over switch including fifth switching elements, first-side terminals thereof being connected to the alternating-current terminal, and second-side terminals being connected to the second wirings, respectively, and a controller controlling turned-on and -off states of the first to fifth switching elements.
