Abstract
A video communication system adapted to interface with video cameras for receiving respective video signals therefrom. The video communication system includes a frame extractor module for extracting from each video signal received from the video cameras a corresponding sequence of video frames, each sequence comprising a first sequence portion comprising background frames shooting background and a subsequent second sequence portion comprising frames shooting a foreground subject; a panoramic video generation module configured to receive the frames of the second sequence portion of each sequence of frames, the panoramic video generation module for executing following sequence of operations every time new video frames of the second sequence portion are received: select a corresponding dominant video camera among the plurality of video cameras based on the received new video frames, processing the received new video frames to generate corresponding operative seam masks for stitching together the new video frames.
