Abstract
The present invention relates to an apparatus for forming tampons, which comprises a plurality of processing drumsfor forming a tampon from band-form material. It also comprises at least one transfer stationfor continuously transferring a preform from a first processing drumto a second processing drum. The invention also relates to a method for forming a tampon from band-form material, wherein transfer from a first processing drum to a second processing drum takes place by means of a continuously rotating transfer wheel.
