Abstract

An ultrasound system () includes an ultrasound probe (), a mobile information terminal (), and an external apparatus (). The ultrasound probe () includes a transmission and reception circuit () that transmits an ultrasonic wave from a transducer array () and generates a sound ray signal, and a reception data generation unit that generates reception data before imaging based on the sound ray signal. The mobile information terminal () includes a camera unit () that acquires a view image. The external apparatus () includes a display controller () that displays an ultrasound image generated based on the reception data and the view image on an external monitor (), and an input device (). In a case where a probe freeze instruction is input from the input device (), the transmission of the ultrasonic wave from the transducer array () is stopped.
