Abstract

A shoe manufacturing system () processes a to-be-bonded surface () of an upper () before bonding a sole to the upper (). The shoe manufacturing system () includes a holding platform (), a camera (), an applicator (), a robot arm (), and a control device (). The control device () identifies a boundary of the to-be-bonded surface () of the upper () that is to serve as a master model M among a plurality of uppers (), for defining an area of the to-be-bonded surface () to be processed, based on three-dimensional shape data of the master model M acquired by the camera (). The control device () controls the robot arm () for each of the uppers () (such as products Pto P) other than the master model M, to cause the applicator () to apply an adhesive to the area of the to-be-bonded surface () enclosed by the identified boundary.
