A unitary yoke-shaft and an axle assembly having a unitary yoke-shaft. The unitary yoke-shaft includes a shaft and a yoke. The shaft extends along an axis. The yoke extends from the shaft. The yoke is integrally formed with the shaft such that the yoke and the shaft are a unitary one-piece component.
