Described herein are dermatological compositions, formulations containing wild type or genetically modifiedbacteria and methods for use thereof of skin. The cosmetic and therapeutic formulations described herein can be used as cosmetic daily skin treatments or for treating skin inflammation or disorders including acne, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, or eczema.
