A meter electronics () configured to notify of an event and apportion process data is provided. The meter electronics () comprises a memory () configured to continuously store the process data () for a duration (), a processor () communicatively coupled to the memory (). The processor () is configured to detect one or more events () in the process data () and at least one of generate a notification () and apportion the process data () based on the detected one or more events ().
