Abstract

To reduce surface pressure acting on a tip of a winding terminal portion of a spiral wall of an orbiting scroll in a scroll compressor. In a scroll compressor, a thrust plateand a thrust sheetcapable of being elastically deformed are provided between an opposing surfaceserving as a thrust receiving part and an orbiting base plateof an orbiting scroll. A first sealing memberseals between the orbiting base plateand the thrust sheetand a second sealing memberhaving a diameter greater than that of the first sealing memberseals the opposing surfaceof a second partition walland the thrust plate. A back pressure chamber His partitioned from a suction pressure area (space H) by the thrust plate, thrust sheet, the first sealing member, and the second sealing member. A circular concave portionis formed on a surface of the thrust plateon the thrust sheetside.
