Abstract
An electrolyte including an imidazolium salt compound and a pyridine compound. The electrolyte, includes a compound of Formula I and a compound of Formula II: where Ris selected from halo, cyano, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkynyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkoxy, substituted or unsubstituted C-Ccycloalkyl, and substituted or unsubstituted C-Caryl; and R, R, R, Rand Rare each independently selected from H, halo, cyano, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkynyl, substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkoxy, substituted or unsubstituted C-Ccycloalkyl, and substituted or unsubstituted C-Caryl; when substituted, the substituent is halo or cyano. The electrolyte has high stability and can significantly improve the cycle performance and high-temperature storage performance of electrochemical devices.
