Abstract

A precipitated silica for use in tire applications. In particular, a precipitated silica characterised by a CTAB surface area Sgreater than 140 m/g; a width of the aggregate size distribution Ld, measured by centrifugal sedimentation, of at least 1.2; a pH of less than 5.5; and a carbon content of less than 1500 ppm.
