Abstract
Described herein is a catheter () including a needle () arranged for creating a puncture suitable for a TIPS shunt. The catheter can include a flexible catheter body () having a proximal and a distal end, the needle () being provided at the distal end of the catheter body (), and an actuator () arranged for vibrating the needle, the needle being provided with serrations () on its outside.
