Abstract

Provided is a method for preventing or treating cancer in a subject in need thereof, including administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition including a fraction of polysaccharide isolated fromcultured in the presence of zinc sulfate and a carrier thereof, wherein the polysaccharide includes glucose and fucose. Also provided are a method for preparing the composition and a composition including the polysaccharide fraction obtained therefrom.
