Abstract
A printing apparatus accepts a start instruction of a printing operation and controls, in a case where the instruction is accepted during execution of a maintenance operation and a specific condition is satisfied, to interrupt the maintenance operation and start the printing operation. The specific condition includes that an accumulated time from a start of the maintenance operation to an interruption of the maintenance operation is shorter than a threshold value. In a case where the instruction is accepted during execution of the maintenance operation and the specific condition is not satisfied, the printing operation is started after the maintenance operation is complete.
