Abstract

The present disclosure aims to provide, even when a strong impact is applied to a battery, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in impact resistance so as not to ignite, smoke, and the like by internal short circuit. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one example of an embodiment: includes a positive electrode in which exposed portions and are formed at central portions in a longitudinal direction of a positive electrode collector; a positive electrode tab bonded to the exposed portion; an insulating tape adhered to the positive electrode to cover the exposed portion; and an insulating tape adhered to the positive electrode to cover the exposed portion. The insulating tapes are adhered to the positive electrode so that width-direction ends and/or the other width-direction ends are not overlapped with each other in a thickness direction of the positive electrode.
