Abstract
The invention relates to an apparatus () for producing a wax block containing a tissue sample (), comprising: a container () into which the tissue sample () is placed; and a dispensing apparatus () for dispensing different substances () into the container (). The apparatus () according to the present invention is notable for the fact that it comprises an emptying device () for emptying the container (); and a control unit () is provided, which is designed to apply control to the dispensing apparatus () and to the emptying device () in such a way that in several successive cycles, at least one of the substances is respectively dispensed into the container () and the container () is emptied again after a specific time period.
