Abstract
A composition enriched with bisdemethoxycurcumin standardized to contain 20-80% w/w bisdemethoxycurcumin, 10-35% w/w demethoxycurcumin and 10-50% w/w curcumin. More specifically the invention discloses the potential of a composition comprising 20-80% w/w bisdemethoxycurcumin, 10-35% w/w demethoxycurcumin and 10-50% w/w curcumin in the management of nephrotoxicity in mammals. The composition further comprises aextract standardised to contain not less than 2% w/w thymoquinone and about 0.01%-10% w/w thymohydroquinone.
