Abstract

A system diagnoses and monitors air supply systems and includes a compressor with a drive, which is configured to provide pressurized air for the system, an air dryer, which is configured to remove moisture from the compressed air in the system, at least two sensors, wherein one sensor is configured and arranged to detect a status signal of a component to be monitored, and another sensor is configured and arranged to detect a reference signal relating to the component to be monitored, and an evaluation unit which is configured to evaluate the signals of the sensors. The evaluation unit is also configured to convert the sensor signals into maintenance and control signals based on an evaluation logic, which signals control the operating mode and the maintenance intervals of the air supply system.
