Abstract

A pharmaceutical container may include a cylindrical hollow container body () defining a hollow chamber () to receive a pharmaceutical liquid, the container body () including a portion on a sidewall () of the container body (), wherein the portion has a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis of the container body () and a circumferential extension along the circumference of the container body (), thereby forming a window () through the sidewall () of the container body () into the hollow chamber (), the window () comprising two long edges () and two short edges (), and a Near Field Communication (NFC) antenna () arranged on the outer surface () of the sidewall () of the container, the antenna () including one or a plurality of nested antenna windings (), each of them surrounding an interior periphery () including a substantially longitudinal portion () arranged along the two long edges () of the window (), and a substantially circumferential portion () arranged mainly around the sidewall () of the container body () and at least partially along a first one of the two short edges () of the window () opposite to a second one of the two short edges () of the window ().
